This is a project that I recorded for my niece and nephew, over one of the strangest Christmasses many of us will have ever experienced - the dread Christmas of 2020!
Hopefully the sounds of people walking past my boat and water boiling on the fire add to the festive, cosy feel.....
Reading this story on Christmas Eve is one of the only Christmas traditions I've ever had, and so I thought I'd share it and invite you to step into a slower, quieter world, full only of the sound of the snippeting of scissors and the snappeting of threads, and maybe a 'no more twist.....'!
I give this as a gift to you, and ask only that if you like what you hear you donate to Shelter, who are even more stretched this year to battle homelessness. Either pay what you feel here so that I can keep track of what we raise, or donate directly to
www.shelter.org.uk. Or continue to listen for free, and you are very welcome to do so!
Merry Christmas, be warm, be comfortable, and look ahead to the future
Sonya xx
p.s. this was orignally released on The Greeners bandcamp page, but it is my personal project, so I have switched it over.. Sorry for any confusion!
